Video Blog: John Hagel & John Seely Brown discuss the future of learning and the unique opportunity for Chief Learning Officers to lead the way

In most large organizations, a focus on functional performance has created walls that compartmentalize roles and responsibilities. This presents an interesting dilemma—if we want to redesign the holistic work environment to accelerate organizational learning, who’s responsible?

Listen as John Hagel III and John Seely Brown (JSB), Co-Chairmen, Deloitte LLP Center for the Edge, discuss the importance of learning in a world characterized by intensified competition, uncertainty, and exponential change. Hagel and JSB believe that organizations must shift towards a different rationale—scalable learning rather than scalable efficiency—and the Chief Learning Officer is best positioned to lead.

As used in this document, “Deloitte” means Deloitte Consulting LLP, a subsidiary of Deloitte LLP.
